Started a mini production with Emerline and Hiro called Hae! Productions (Name subject to change…maybe.) We just released our first episode doing a coverage of UCI’s first Korean Heritage Festival: KFEST. Our inspiration for these episodes models after YG’s 2ne1TV, so we want to make these videos open and fun! For now, K-TV is going to focus on Konnect and event coverage, but in the future, Hae! Productions hopes to expand and make videos towards other interests and topics as well :)
Side note, waiting for WongFu’s response to see if I can write a portfolio piece on them for my Journalism class *fingers crossed*

THIS. THIS is why 2NE1 impresses me so much. This group isn’t your average bubble gum pop group. I think why I love them even more is because Korea has finally presented a girl group that is not confined by the restrictions of their agency so that they can express who they are as musicians and artists. I don’t even really consider 2NE1 as an idol group. Look at them- collaborating with Black Eyed Peas, DJ Poet, designers- it makes me so happy. It really shows how universal the world of music, culture, and fashion is.

Baby steps. Just one step at a time.
We aren’t even halfway done yet but finishing KCN with two sets makes me so happy :} I’m so proud of everyone for working so hard and for being so supportive of each other.It’s going to take me a while to save all the pictures on my computer, but it’s worth it. Just looking at all the photos from these past months to now makes me laugh and smile. Each of us have different characters, personalities, and dancing styles, yet after all these months we have become something more than just strangers.
I’ve never been in a coord position before and I knew it wasn’t going to be easy; so I’m also really thankful to those who have been helpful and supportive. Thank you thank you so much. I have realized that in my position, it’s all about taking baby steps. I’m still learning and I’m still new to this. It’s scary but after everything that’s happened this year, I know I couldn’t have done it without help. I wasn’t expecting some of the things that occurred, but that’s life, right? You can’t always expect things to turn out the way you intend to. That’s how you learn and grow. Being a coord has definitely put me in a different perspective from last year; it’s more than just organizing the agenda, performances, and practices. You have to know when to be stern and/or tough, but you also have to know when to listen. You have to always be prepared. Nonetheless, all the work has been worth it. It definitely has.
Lastly, I don’t know what people are saying about Urmo, and I’m not really sure what’s going on but if they are, what they don’t know is that this team is full of hard working, dedicated, and friendly people. I don’t know why people would want to gossip about something they THINK they know without really knowing. Hannah and I want nothing more than for Urmo to grow, learn, and to continue doing so for years to come. Urmo is a place for people to be who THEY are as individuals. It’s a place for people to forget their problems and to have fun. We’re nothing but a dance team with people who love to dance. Simple as that. I love this team so much. Now, we have KFEST, Kenya Dance, and a couple of other performances in May. Let’s do this! One step at a time.
